Master the art of making healthy food delicious with TDAE Performance Recipes.

This flavor packed combination of fresh vegetables, spices and herbs is a great condiment to add zip to just about anything from a grass-fed steak to your morning pasture-raised eggs. The cilantro alone has mega-antioxidant and detoxification properties. 

ingredients & instructions

2 Organic ripe tomatoes; diced

1/2 Large organic yellow onion; diced

1/2 Cup organic cilantro; coarsely chopped

1 Serrano pepper; seeded and minced

Juice from half an organic lime

1 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon cumin 

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and toss with a fork until well mixed. Be sure to taste your Pico de Gallo and adjust seasonings as needed. Kale gets all of the publicity for being king of leafy greens, but getting more fresh herbs like cilantro through a batch of pico de gallo is also a great way to bring nutrient-intensity to the table.
