Don't get paralyzed thinking that workout plans need to be complex. Simple action trumps complicated thinking.

Whether you're trying to get yourself started, get back on track, or writing training programs for others always think simple action first. This approach is a better way to promote consistency over time. Complex thinking can lead to becoming overwhelmed, giving up, never getting started, or skipping steps. Things go bad in training programs when you try to skip steps.

You wouldn't start driving lessons as a 16 year old on a narrow mountain pass during a snowstorm. You're better off starting in an empty parking lot on a sunny day. The snowy mountain pass will be there when you're ready.
