Red meat of the grass fed variety has healthy amounts of good fats (omega-3 & CLA), zinc, phosphorus, vitamin A/E/B, creatine, iron, and protein. This is an impressive and important list of nutrients that promote healthy muscles, bones, energy systems, and your immune system. 

Grass fed beef does pack a bigger punch in many of those areas. It's important to avoid over cooking it (well done) or charring it. Cook to medium rare or medium if you are cooking over a direct heat source. Another great option is low and slow as when using a crockpot/slow cooker. 

If you're still concerned that red meat alone causes cancer, high blood pressure, or cholesterol spikes, consider that there are major flaws in the studies that suggest this. Many of the studies showing negative results from eating red meat don't account for other lifestyle habits, source of the meat, processing levels of the meat, or how the meat was prepared/cooked.
